Microfinance In Brazil

Further to a recent journey to Santo Estevao in the interior of Bahia State, Brazil, I felt strongly that something had to be done urgently. Although the people are delightful and extremely hospitable there remains a lot of work to be undertaken by NGO's, local government and Capital Markets.

Further to the fantastic work of the Kiva.org I was inspired to make contact with local organisations and arranged a journey with small local initiatives to take stock of the situation. Currently, I believe that there are many gaps in the market which can be a mutually beneficial arrangement to both local NGO's and Microfinance Partners worldwide. However, further capital must be invested from global financial markets if the next generation of children in Brazil, and the rest of the developing world, are to survive the quantum leap from a sustainable existence to the age of technology.

If the North is to Aid the South, there must be a collective and dedicated effort at both the conscious and subconscious levels. It requires a small input from each person to arrive at global harmony. By taking on a small task each day, each of us can help pave the way for future generations. Managing Microfinance Projects requires compassion, commitment and a sense of justice. The rewards are great and include self satisfaction due to the positive effects on the individual, their families and the community at large.

In conclusion, we must act now if we are to repay our debt to the nations of South America by investing in local organisations and partnering with microfinance organisations across the world. This is the only way which we will restore peace, balance and harmony to avoid global warming, war and famine.
