A Method For Making Income In Niche Markets

Many marketers are making healthy incomes working part-time in niche marketing. They accomplish this by selling eBooks. By consistently doing this every week, they make good money.

This is not just insignificant pocket change either. Some marketers are making $500 - $1000 a month in their spare time. Note: in order to make this happen, they put forth effort. They are not just standing by waiting for the money to come rolling in - it won't.

It's also important to note that most of these are not your so-called experts. They may not have a large amount of knowledge about the subject of their eBook or report. They may or may not have any involvement in the topic that their eBook targets. Still they are being successful. You can do this also. With a little bit of diligence and effort, anyone can do it.

What are they doing to accomplish success?

They are just doing simple things and it works because they keep it simple. So being an expert is not required. You don't have to be the world's best authority on the topic or niche. This method will work for just about any niche market that you choose to market. The method involves you putting forth the effort to create a 5-10 page mini-report or eBook and then marketing or selling the ebook. That means that you have to find buyers. You could use many techniques to do this - Adwords or maybe eBay. There are many ways to market your small eBook.

So, since you are not necessarily an expert in the subject you choose for you eBook, how do you write the content for the eBook?

First you need to find out what is selling well - what subjects are people already willing to spend their money for. Take a look at Clickbank and check out your favorite bookstore. Once you find a topic in your selected niche that has a good market, then you are ready to start creating your short eBook or report. I suggest that you create an eBook in the .pdf format. Most computers have the necessary reader already loaded to read this format. If not it is easy for anyone to download the reader.

So you now know you subject, how do you get the content? Let's suppose that you have decided to write an eBook on how to build picture frames, with emphasis on how to make the corners fit correctly and be strong.

Now this is one of the most important parts of this method. Remember you want to keep the process simple and not require you to be an expert on the topic. Of course, if you do know the topic, you could write your eBook yourself.

If you are not, then you can go to Google or your favorite search engine and look for private label articles. Just enter keywords for you niche and look for articles or products that are available as private label articles or products.

The beauty of private label rights is that you have or you purchase the rights to the information. That means that you can alter or change it in anyway that you desire. You don't have to worry about copyrights because you have the right to use the article or product.

So you find 5-6 private label articles and you re-write them and create your eBook. You have a chapter or two on making the frames, one on how to get the frame square, how to insure that the corners are strong, etc.

As noted already, you want to keep this simple and you want your effort to be minimal. However, you really should spend some time putting "you" into the eBook. So, re-write at least some of the content make it fit your personality.

Now you need to design or get designed some graphics that will help you sell the product. Maybe some showing a person working on the corners of a picture frame. Some kind of graphic that calls attention to your topic. It will generally represent the cover of your eBook.

Using that graphic you will create a mini-website. On the website you will emphasize the benefits that the buyer can expect if they purchase your eBook. Without telling how, let them know that they will learn how to build picture frames that will have strong corners, etc.

Now just promote the mini-site. Start sending visitors to your site in anyway that you can.

Selling it directly on eBay might bring some quick profits. For eBay, it might be important to price your eBook in the 7 to 10 dollar range. While the eBay process is happening, you could work on other Internet marketing methods.

Let's summarize the method:

1) Market Search 2) Select a topic in some market niche 3) Obtain content 4) Write a small eBook on the topic 5) Create a mini website 6) Promote your eBook 7) Do it again with a different topic/niche

This is just one of many methods of using niche marketing to create a part-time income. If you want to create more substantial income - do it over and over again. As you become more efficient with the method, your time and effort on each topic or niche will decrease and you will be able to create and sell more eBooks and your income will increase.

It is working for many, why not you?

What Service Do You Need to Make your Book Sell?

Whether you are just starting or almost finished with your print or eBook, you wonder, "What step to take next?" Who can help me find the right publisher? Who can partner with me to make my book a solid seller? Check out your choices to be sure you get what you need.

Many writers think that all they need is a good editor and their book will be ready for publishing and promoting.

Maybe you think you don't have enough time to write it yourself? A ghostwriter can take over and finish the research and get it out.

Think about another choice: Bookcoaching. Before you write too many scattered chapters consult with a coach who knows your book category, who your market is, and where to find them.

Your book coach also knows what makes up a saleable title and can help guide you to write a great seller by knowing your thesis, your audience, your "tell and sell," and the correct introduction. When you incorporate these essential "hot-selling" points before you write many chapters, you will then write a compelling, organized, easy-to read page turner.

Don't hire a ghostwriter before you know exactly what you need to write, publish, and promote a great-selling book.

If your book is almost finished, you must hook your potential readers with the solutions you know will serve them. Knowing your audience before you write the book helps you write focused, organized, and compelling copy. Do you know the rules for writing a saleable book? Too many "I's" and linking verbs like "is" and was" slow readers down and make them bored. They want vital verbs and specific nouns. If they don't receive multiple benefits, they will put your potential great book down and won't recommend it to friends or associates.

You already know that word-of-mouth works, yet takes a year or more to really get up steam. Many authors quit too soon because they don't know how or don't want to promote their book. An experienced book coach can give you the real picture before you put time and money into your book. She can also make you aware of easy marketing and promotion that takes only a few hours a week at home or in the office. And, you can delegate it all to an assistant.

Maybe, you just want to get your book done. An editor can fix your grammar and even your disorganization, but can an editor help you get your book published and promoted, and know which way is the best for you?

Think about what you want--a saleable book whose audience will flock to it because it totally helps answer their questions or solves their challenge. And, entertains too. Editors are not trained to think about the benefits your book will give your audience. They don't know how to market as you write. Check with your book coach who will point out your brilliance and show you your benefits and features in ongoing phone and email sessions.

Remember that only benefits sell. This is the end result your reader gets after reading your book. Results sell. Features such as what's inside the book-steps, charts, tips, interview, pictures, or quote explain, but do not sell.

When you don't know why your audience should buy your book and you can't tell them in a few sentences either in print or in person, they will back away and keep their wallet or credit card inside their pockets or purse.

Hire your editor after you contact a book coach. When your chapters do not have a consistent format with questions posed as headings and answers in the copy below, a line editor cannot make your work sell just by changing a few sentences. Even a developmental editor needs format to help make your book the best it can be. Even a ghostwriter will need this format.

Hawaii Whale-Watching

Hawaii whale-watching is truly a memorable experience. In this article, we will focus on whale-watching off the island of Maui. Whale-watching season starts as early as November, but the largest number of whales travel through Hawaii waters from mid-December to mid-April.

Each year during this time, approximately 1,500 to 2,000 humpback whales migrate south from their summer feeding grounds in the Arctic. Scientists estimate that this 3,000 mile swimming trip takes them from 80 to 100 days.

The whales seem to favor the calmer bays and wide bank areas between the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai. With their bulky heads and two blow-holes, they can often be seen cavorting in the warm waters, breaching and slapping the surface of the water. Here they mate, or bear their "calves" conceived the previous winter.

A mature humpback whale is about 45 feet in lenth and can weigh up to 80,000 pounds. Their calves weigh around 3,000 pounds at birth and feed off their mothers high-fat milk for six to eight months, consuming 100 to 130 gallons per day.

Strangely enough, the adult whales do not eat while in Hawaii, since they are "seasonal" feeders. However, when they return to their Arctic habitat an average humpback whale will consume 4,500 to 5,000 pounds of plankton, krill (small, shrimp-like creatures), and fish per day!

On Maui, the opportunities for whale-watching from land are extensive. A good vantage point for seeing whales from land is basically anywhere you get a pretty a wide ocean view. McGregor Point, at mile marker 9, as you head from Maalaea, toward Lahaina, is a well-known whale watching place. Continuing toward Lahaina, whales can also be seen off the Olowalu Reef--between McGregor Point and the town of Olowalu.

When you head south on the Wailea coast, the Outrigger Wailea Resort provides another excellent viewing spot, with a telescope installed by the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. South from Wailea, Puu Olai overlooking Makeena Beach is considered Maui's best spot for whale-watching.

Whale watching requires patience. Scan the horizon for a cloud of spewing water that rises from 10 to 20 feet above the ocean's surface. Watch for a good half-hour or so; whales need to breath every 7 to 20 minutes, and their spray is simply water vapor that they exhale from their blow hole. So once you locate that tell-tale spray of water, focus your eyes on the area for another one. Here binoculars are especially helpful.

But the best way to see humpback whales is out in their domain--and you can book a whale-watching cruise for that. Maui is the home of the Pacific Whale Foundation. A non-profit whale research organization, it supports its research by offering whale-watching tours.

In addition, almost every snorkel and dive-boat in the area becomes a whale-watching vessel in winter. Maui whale-watching tours leave Lahaina and Maalaea harbors daily during the winter months. In addition to humpbacks, sperm whales, pilot whales, pygmy killer whales, beaked whales, melon-headed whales and "false" killer whales can often be seen there. You can also view the whales on a rafting expedition. These excursions also leave daily from Lahaina harbor.

The whale may play a little game with you -- he will poke his head just above the water's surface to "scope out the scene." That kind of behavior is actually called a "spy hop," meaning it's his way of showing off (if he feels so inclined). He'll then leap completely out of the water. If he's only in the mood to exchange nods, he'll slap his tail or wave his side fins at you -- that's the humpback whale's way of saying "Hi!"

Whales communicate underwater through mysterious "songs," forming a perplexing series of sounds. Most whale-watching charters on Maui have a hydrophone on board, which will enable you to hear and enjoy the complex sounds of these majestic creatures.

Remember that humpback whales are protected by the Marine Mammals Protection Act, and you may come no closer than 100 yards. Even at that distance you will sense the power and beauty of these creatures, and you will come away with memories of a lifetime.

Creating Cash Flow From What You Know

Recently I attended the Womens Power Summit in Atlanta Georgia and what a great experience that was! The Womens Power Summit is a one-day seminar held for women only. It coincides with the Big Seminar and is for businesswomen and woman entrepreneurs. The theme of this years seminar was how to Play to Win as opposed to playing not to lose.

I got to hear excellent presentations from five amazing women on topics from how to get organized to how to beating cancer and building a successful business at the same time. Im a firm believer that the best way to learn something is to teach it to someone else, so Im going to pass on to you what Ive learned at the Womens Power Summit. Since I took a lot of notes, and I learned quite a bit, Im going to break it up for you into a series of 4 or 5 articles. Since one of the highlights of the seminar for me was meeting my long time mentor Jeanette Cates, Ill start off this first article in the series telling you about Jeanettes presentation.

Jeanette Cates has earned the reputation of being the Technology Tamer. Some of the things that I have learned from Jeanette over the past couple of years in her teleseminar courses include how to set up a web site and a blog, and how to do teleseminars. At the Womens Power Summit, which Jeanette co-hosted with Alex Mandossian, she talked about how to make money from what you already know. She has a program called Drain Your Brain that teaches you to Create Cash Flow From What You Know. Jeanettes formula for doing this is simple. First you must recognize your expertise, secondly you need to figure out a way to monetize your expertise, and lastly, you need to systematize your expertise.

According to Jeanette, we are all experts at something. The first step is to recognize what areas you have expertise in. You can do this by asking yourself the following questions. What is your hobby? What do others tell you that youre good at? What do you really enjoy doing? What is your professional training? What do have a lot of experience in? From the answers to these questions you should be able to come with some areas in which you have expertise.

Once you discover an area of expertise, the next step to creating cash flow from what you know is to monetize it. Monetizing your expertise will create a revenue stream for you, reward the efforts that you are already putting forth in that area, and re-enforce your confidence and self-esteem in that area. One of the ways to do this is to create information products about your area of expertise. Along with this you will need a way to generate leads for your products and follow-up with customers. You can generate leads for your information products by giving something of value away in exchange for their contact information. One way to create an information product is to start writing tips on your topic of expertise. Once you have a collection of tips, they can be put together in numerous ways. If you have enough tips, you can turn them into a book or e-book.

Now that you know your area of expertise and youve created a product to sell, you need to systematize it. By systematizing your expertise you will expand your influence, save time, save money, and increase your rewards. You want a system that will let you start small start where you are. For instance, you can take written content that you already have and develop it into audios. You can re-purpose the content that you already have, add to it and make it more valuable. Your system needs to provide cutting edge ideas, methods to capture new ideas and should include the resources necessary to monetize your ideas.
