The Value Betting On Tennis

The truth is that all sports are not equal when it comes to betting. Some of them like soccer for example may have greater appeal to the punters worldwide but that doesnt make them the best markets for wagering.

One of the most interesting and profitable markets i have ever found is without a doubt tennis. One of its main advantages is that the very nature of the sport makes the bookies struggle to come up with the correct odds so many opportunities and value bets arise. There are many aspects that a punter must take into consideration such as surface, tournaments, fittness, mental toughness, ranking of a player but once he master these he will see value bets litterally everywhere.

First of all tennis season is ten months long with many tournaments to choose from. The more important the tournament, the more money it pays, and the more accomplished and high ranked players will enter. Its not uncommon of high ranked players using low level tournaments as a practice for the big one coming up and many times they lose to an inferior opponent who treats these tournaments as gold cause he has no chance on making it far in the big ones.

Of course surface still remains one of the most important factors in tennis. Each player has a favorite surface,a surface that he performs at his best. There are very few players that perform equally well at all surfaces. Many of them play and choose most tournaments in their schedule that have their favorite surface. You can see for example a player that is ranked 15 in the world but when he plays a guy who is ranked for example 50 but plays in his favorite surface and least favorite for the other, things are not good for the top ranked guy.

Surfaces combined with the weapons that each player has at his disposal are perhaps the ones that top the list when we want to decided the winner of a certain matchup: Take Clay for example. Its the slowest surface of them all.Its difficult to hit through your opponent so the big hitters are to an extent losing their edge here. You have to be very fast and a great mover to survive in this surface.Grass on the other hand is very fast and the ball bounces low so the players have less time to react.Good servers with volleying abilities are needed for this surface.

One of the things that are overlooked most of the times is the mental toughness of a player. To learn how a player reacts under pressure is a serious weapon in your way to making a profit out of tennis punting. Many players are known to crack under pressure, many others have a phycological advantage or vice verca against a certain opponent so you can easily make a profile of each players mental status.Whether he has a burning will to win or he is indefferent to a tennis match its easy for you to spot him after a while. You ll know that a certain player if gets just slightly down on the scoreboard most of the time is starting to spray wild balls around the court or another one in the same situation picks up his game and starts to play like god.

Fitness and injuries are of course very important for every sport. But since we are talking about an individual sport they take a much more important role.An injury can end a match in a flash.when someone has played some tournaments in a row or when someone is coming off a serious injury are definately some things that we have to consider before we even begin to think about betting on them. Its not uncommon that a qualifier beats the hot favorite in his first match after a long layoff or the hot favorite loses an easy match only because of getting extremely tired after a few tournaments in a row.Definately one to watch.

All these things and many more make the value betting in tennis one of the most smart ways to bet.The flactuation of the odds most of the time is amazing and there is a reason why tennis is the most traded sport in betfair. If you devote some time to familiarize yourself with the game and its variables you ll find that the tennis market is full of opportunities waiting to be grasped.

Time and Again

When we experience dj vu, it fills our energy with a particular type of excitement, like remembering something forbidden, as though it was something of a mystery and we discovered it. Whether it is a person or place; it is important to look at the qualities of that person, object or place with your heart. As you do, more memories will flood to the surface. It is amazing how someone or some thing from a distant era in time can maintain its beauty throughout the centuries when we look upon it with loving eyes. The body has changed, even the gender may have changed, the person within that body, is who you remember.

Time and again, we exchange our energy and experiences with others. Some of these people have traveled though life with us before and we meet again throughout the rhythms of time. It is romantic to think of lost soul mates, dear friends, and beloved family members as being inseparable from us for all eternity. If that is the case then we have not yet experienced our connection to one and other in our separateness and will most likely choose to return again to gain the experience.

There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of books on the subject of reincarnation out on the market today. Some of these books take a look at the different philosophies and spiritual views on the mechanics of reincarnation. Other books present documented past life reviews among many amazing cases in hypnotherapy regressions.

The cycles of life continue endlessly until one steps out of the cycle. Stepping out of the cycle is where many people are today in their process of remembering.

Hidden strengths and talents are brought to surface such as art, music or writing that would have remained dormant if not for a glance into the past.

There may have also been confrontations in a previous lifetime with people that were brought back together again into the present in order to resolve old issues. Fears, and blocks may be overcome this time around. Re-examining such relationships invites you to the experience of rapid inner healing.

The remembrance of deeply rooted past-life situations and the decisions that were made are useful in creating new attitudes and actions that can be applied in situations and decisions in the present.

There are times when old souls meet and continue a relationship that began in another life. The relationship may be intense but not long lasting because they completed their destiny with one and other.

Technology today allows us to see into space for hundreds of years. Images of deep space and planets were never before seen in our history. Those who have had a dj vu experience while viewing these images of space are of particular interest. Is it a past life memory of another form of life? Is it a recorded memory in the DNA of cells? Would the answer to these questions have an effect on how we view our Universe? Would we then expand our awareness to encompass all forms even from other worlds?

By no means are these questions and those who have had dj vu experiences a passing thought in fantasy. Delving into the memories of time will no doubt be rewarding to those interested in the mysteries of life. Past tragedy is leavened with the humor of the present era. The reality of death comes to accommodate with empathy and understanding of birth.

Stepping out of the dance of reincarnation allows one to re-create their lives on a higher level of existence. We are able to evolve ourselves, the world and everyone in it with the peripheral vision of love, light and acceptance.

Barbara's Ovarian Cancer Story, Part III

Happy Thanksgiving 2006

Barbara's continued Ovarian Cancer Story:

Its been two years since my last article and I have a lot to share with you. Presently, Im sitting in my cozy little office/guest room, in my cozy house on Whidbey Island, Washington. Rosie-the-cat is reclining on the windowsill and were both staring out at the wind-whipped trees and billowing, dark clouds being blown across the sky. Its very beautiful and Im very grateful to be here!

At my last writing, I had just completed eight cycles of heavy-duty chemotherapy for advanced ovarian cancer and was in remission, ready to celebrate a very special Thanksgiving with my family. (See articles 1 and 2 on the articles page at www.dstress.com.) Those holidays were wonderful. I felt healthy, had hair, was working and exercising and planning my retirement date, (September 2005), and subsequent move to our home in Washington. Being an inveterate planner/list-maker and worrier, I organized the retirement and move to within an inch of its life. I knew when my last day of work would be; how much vacation time I had on the books and what day wed be packing up. John made his plans to close his office and relocate his business. We were done with cancer and ready to move on! Well, as we all know, life has a way of not always going according to plan. We were about to be thrown a real curve-ball.

In March, we took a great trip to Arizona to celebrate my birthday. On the drive from Phoenix to Bisbee to visit friends, we marveled at the lush green desert, abloom with flowers after recent rains. Locals told us that this beauty lasted about two weeks before fading to gold and brown, and people had learned not to take it for granted. Well, thats true about anything, isnt it?

The day after we returned from our vacation, a message on the answering machine said a new suspicious mass had been found on my most recent CT scan, the one I had done before we left for Arizona. I was devastated and furious and terrified! I ranted and I raved and I screamed, scaring John and the cat. What about my plans? My retirement? Moving to my new home? What about my life? I dont want more surgery, more chemo! I dont want to lose my hair again! I feel fine and healthy- how can this be happening AGAIN? I had taken for granted that the first surgery and chemo had worked and I was cured. But in fact, 70-90% of people have recurrence at some point in time. I just didnt think I would be one of them. I had to completely let go of my carefully orchestrated master-plan and face this challenge head on.

June found me back at UCSF for major surgery for removal of a tumor that was very close, but not on, the liver. Because ovarian cancer cells tend to migrate to the spleen and gallbladder, they also removed those organs. I was lucky to have access to one of the best surgeons in the country and post-op reports stated that they had completely removed all the cancer! I used all the same tools to prepare pre op and postoperatively as I had for my first surgery and my recovery was good. I was home in five days and back to work in five weeks. I started chemo in July.

On December 1, 2005, I had my last chemo cycle. Other than a very low blood count (I was very anemic and my white count was very low), I tolerated the treatments fairly well. Acupuncture, visualization, exercise and supplements all played an important part in my work to stay as strong and healthy as possible. My hair thinned considerably, but I didnt have to wear wigs or cover-ups. With the particular drug regimen I was on, there is a 60% chance of hair loss. Before treatments started, I researched the web for any products that might minimize this side effect. I found a product called E.V.P.3 Chemaid. The website is:www.evp3.com. It provides good information and research so I decided to give it a try. I dont know if it was the chemaid, the different type of drugs regimen and dosage, supplements or all of the above, but I kept the majority of my hair. Seems like such a minor thing when you are fighting for your life. Yet sometimes those small things make a difference in quality of life. I felt that I looked healthier and normal and that translated into not feeling like a cancer patient.

The new year brought new resolution to finally make our plans to retire and move. My labs were good, my scans were clear and we moved to Whidbey Island in May. Weve been involved in projects ever since.

First on the agenda was painting the inside and the outside of the house. Just as John and I have been a good team in my healing process, weve made a good team in working on our home. And its been fun! We dug a garden using picks and shovels. We built planter boxes and created a Zen rock garden; we yanked out a huge juniper bush and planted roses and dahlias. At the end of the day we collapsed into recliners with such a good feeling of accomplishment. Ive never used my muscles like that before. Id be exhausted by 8pm-it was such a good kind of tired. One of my favorite activities was sitting in the dirt, pulling weeds. The sun on my shoulders, eagles soaring overhead, the smell of earth and flowers and growing things became a huge part of my healing process. I visualized my immune system plucking out and disappearing any unhealthy cells from my body with each weed I pulled. Working in the garden has become a wonderful meditation for me. I clear my mind and totally focus on the task at hand. Learning how to live in the moment is an ongoing lesson, and I have to continually find a balance between artful planning and my natural tendency to organize the future. Ive learned a greater appreciation of each sunrise and sunset. I notice the rhythm of my breathing and muscle movement when I walk and hike. I take time to pick up interesting bits of wood from the beach and decorate my garden with them. I revel in the love of my family and dear friends. I consciously practice NOT taking anything for granted and I try to live each moment joyfully. I have a favorite mantra that I recite to myself on my daily walks. thank you for all the blessings I enjoy; thank you for my health today; thank you for my family and friends; thank you for allowing me to spend time in this beautiful place; thank you for the gift of life! And wouldnt it be very, very nice if abundance cascades into my life and into those I love-abundance of health-physical, emotional and spiritual; and financial abundance.

I wish I could say that with all the meditation and mantras, I now lead a joyful, positive life. The truth is that I have my ups and downs; my incredibly joyful moments along with times of fear, sadness and anger. I go into worry-mode when its time for lab work and waiting for results. I get fearful about any new ache or pain (does this mean the cancer is back?) I vacillate between should I go ahead and spend money on redoing the kitchen now or keep that money in savings a little longer. Sometimes I feel caught between living in the moment and wanting to plan future projects for next year, two years from now, five years from now. And I still get angry that this happened to me, even though Ive learned many lessons in the past few years. One of the main lessons Im starting to grasp is that life is an act of faith. When I was planting the garden, I mostly put in vegetables and flowers that would reward me with bouquets and crops right away. My act of faith in the future was planting a cherry tree. My daily prayer is that Ill be around to enjoy the blossoms and pluck the cherries.

This year we will celebrate Thanksgiving in our new home. Well share our gratitude with friends and family; well feast and watch football; and well toast to health, happiness and prosperity. The garden hibernates now beneath a blanket of red and gold leaves. The tulips, daffodils and hyacinths I planted last week rest and wait until its their time to burst forth into colorful splendor. And I rest, write, clean closets and enjoy indoor projects as I wait for spring, when Ill burst out to nurture and be nurtured in my garden.

Heres to rainy days and warm fires NOW and digging in the dirt in the FUTURE.

Happy Thanksgiving

Time For A Quickie!

Technique! We seem to have become obsessed by it! There are probably thousands of books offering detailed explanations of ways to make love to your partner. But what about spontaneity? Where's that gone? What about the pleasures of the impromptu quickie? You're both horny, there's a raw urgency in the air, and you need it NOW!

Some women are afraid to let their partner know that they'd like a quickie. Supposing he misinterprets it and thinks you just want a quick shag that can be over and done within next to no time because you can't be bothered with the 'real thing'? The truth is, if you're horny and lusting for him, wanting a quickie will just show how much you still fancy him on a physical basis. You wouldn't feel irked at being desperately wanted by the bloke you fancy most, would you?

Sex serves many purposes and variation is no bad thing. One purpose is the reinforcement of that private bond which exists only between the two of you; something nobody else can share in. For this reason, having a quickie in a 'forbidden' situation can actually strengthen the relationship. When everybody is in full swing at the party, a couple that go outside and urgently make love have a secret that's theirs alone.

The excitement of being found out is also frequently linked with quickie sex. Having a quick romp in a semi-public place (such as behind the garage at the above mentioned party) can be highly stimulating. The feeling of 'naughtiness' often leads to intense arousal, culminating in delicious sex that's equally as good as the sex we'd ordinarily have in our comfortable beds with plenty of foreplay.

The term 'sex-positions' takes on a whole new meaning with quickie sex and couples often find themselves in positions that they'd never have otherwise experimented with. Old pieces of furniture, a wall, a washing machine or anything else that happens to be close by comes into its own when no-frills sex is on the menu.

One or both partners are usually partially dressed, something which in itself can be very arousing. Being held up against a wall with one breast outside your bra, your knickers around your knees and trying not to kick those litter bins for fear of attracting unwanted attention.... well, it could just as easily be a fantasy!

There's no right time or place for a quickie. Only your imagination can limit where and when. If you really want it, you'll find a place or situation that will be suitable for a bout of urgent sex. The kitchen table, the garden shed, or even a toilet seat will do. Just keep one thing in mind - no matter how desperate you are, it really isn't a good idea to subject unwitting by-passers to your amorous frolics. There are plenty of exhibitionists around, but we aren't all voyeurs!

Happy bonking!
